RANTAU LION DANCE
This Final Year Project documents the traditional Chinese Lion Dance as a living cultural heritage in Malaysia through a photojournalistic approach. Focusing on a female-led lion dance troupe in Negeri Sembilan, the project explores themes of cultural identity, dedication, and the preservation of tradition in a rapidly modernising society. Each photograph captures not only the performance, but also the people, emotions, and stories that keep this heritage alive for future generations.
